Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been completely blown away by two beautiful pieces of artwork left for us by guests after their stay. We never expected it, and it’s such a lovely reminder of what slowing down can do.

When the days aren’t filled with deadlines, traffic and endless notifications, there’s space to breathe, wander, read, paint, write… or simply do nothing at all.

We can’t promise you’ll leave with a masterpiece.

But we do hope you’ll leave feeling calmer, lighter, and a little more like yourself.

Could you ever escape to the countryside without your car?

Well our lasts guests gave it a go - and I think they loved it!

It forces you into slowing down, exploring what’s on your doorstep and enjoying more simple pleasures like collecting eggs, seeing the animals, picking flowers, drawing and making a daisy chain.

They did say they’d like to return but they’d bring the car next time as there’s just so much more to explore in the Shropshire Hills💚🌳💚

One of our lovely guests left us this beautiful sketch of Gooseyard Cottage and we were completely blown away by their talent and thoughtfulness.

We know our guests come here to slow down, switch off and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Shropshire countryside. But seeing our little corner of the world through someone else’s eyes like this is something we’ll treasure forever.

After a long drive, the last thing most people want to do is unpack the car and head straight back out to the supermarket or wait till the Sainsbury’s arrive normally when you are tired and can think of nothing worse than unloading a load of food shopping

So we created our little honesty farm shop.

It’s stocked with everyday essentials, local treats, something nice for breakfast, and Amy’s home cooked frozen ready meals

Whether you’ve forgotten the milk, a pack of butter or simply don’t want to leave the peace and quiet you’ve just arrived in, it’s there whenever you need it.

It’s a small part of Middle Farm, but it reflects something that’s important to us.

We want your holiday to begin the moment you pull onto the farm - not in a supermarket queue.

So whilst we have 3 self catering holiday cottages, you don’t have to think about cooking too much whilst you are here!
